On February 27 the Ugandan government reported an LRA attack on a boarding school in Kitgum. At least 15 children were abducted. The Ugandan government also released an updated report that says 422 LRA rebels have been killed by the UPDF since the end of September 2002. 138 LRA rebels have been captured and 93 surrendered. These appear to be hard figures. If so, the UPDF has dealt the LRA a heavy blow. LRA strength figures (for committed fighters) have run the gamut from 800 to 3000.
