Uganda: March 25, 2003


Uganda announced that over 400 (a later report said 401) members of the Union of Congolese Patriots (UPC) surrendered to Ugandan troops in the DRC. The surrender took place near the Ugandan-DRC border. UPC fighters have been active around the DRC town of Bunia and elsewhere in Ituri province.
