The South African Air Force had reorganized 16 Squadron to operate the AH-2A Rooivalk attack helicopters. The US and South African Navies held their first joint maneuvers (ever) on 30 Oct - 5 Nov, as two amphibious ships landed troops in Exercise Rampion.--Stephen V Cole
