The Islamic radical violence that began in the early 1990s was organized and led by men who were trained in the Afghanistan camps. Thus it was no surprise that Algerians have shown up in the teams of international terrorists operating world wide. The fanaticism and murderous attitudes of the Algerian rebels is now blamed on the ideology obtained in the Bin Laden camps.
