Nothing seems to go right in Algeria. The government, run by the elderly men who led the rebellion against France in the 1950s and 60s, is corrupt and unwilling to allow democracy that might get them all arrested for stealing. The people want clean government and the Islamic radicals want a religious state. The Berber minority wants autonomy and the unemployed young men want jobs. So far, no one has any solutions that work.
