In last week, several clashes with rebels have left seven rebels and a dozen security troops dead. Most of the dead troops are the result of ambushes. The army hopes to change this situation by getting better communications, night vision and reconnaissance droves (UAVs) from the US. This would make it much more difficult for the rebels to move around at night, which is how they operate most of the time.
