The government has ordered foreign troops performing relief work to leave the country by March 26th. The government also refused to allow an American aircraft carrier to launch its warplanes for training missions while they were in Indonesian waters. Navy regulations require carrier pilots to fly at least once every 14 days to maintain their readiness for combat. American marines were also forbidden to set up a camp ashore while they were carrying out relief work.
