Britain's Prime Minister Blair flatly denied reports in the British media that the US had asked for 25,000 British troops to help invade Iraq. Blair insisted that no decision to attack Iraq had been made so far. The British did confirm, however, that senior British officials had met in early March with members of Iraqi opposition parties.--Stephen V Cole
