An opinion survey of Palestinians showed that 71.9 percent are against arresting radicals and 57 percent oppose a ceasefire with Israel. The Palestinian Authority has closed six Hamas offices. Israel has relaxed its rules of engagement, allowing its troops to fire on any Palestinians carrying weapons who are not in uniform.
