Over the weekend, Israeli security forces arrested twelve Palestinians trying to cross from Gaza to Israel. All were unarmed, but held for interrogation. So far this year, 46 Palestinians have been arrested for trying to get across the Gaza security fence into Israel. It is believed that no Palestinian terrorist has ever made it across the Gaza fence into Israel. The ceasefire has left a few Palestinian terrorist groups still active, but so far their efforts have not produced any major attacks. Because of the ceasefire deal with the Palestinians, the Israelis expect there to be no attacks, no Kassam rockets fired into Israel, no gunmen shooting at Israeli motorists. This will require Palestinian police to confront the diehard Palestinian terrorists, and will involve some violence. This will be enormously unpopular in the rest of the Arab world, where Palestinian violence against Israelis is very popular.
