 Despite Israel's control of the air, there are over a thousand ballistic missiles aimed at it. Syria alone has over  400 missiles. These include SS-21 missiles (120 kilometer range), Scud Bs 300 kilometers), Scud Cs (500 kilometers) and Scud Ds (700 kilometers). Other Arab nations in the area are equipped with similar arsenals. Israel's anti-missile defenses (the Arrow system) can only stop a few of these missiles.
