Korea: February 1, 2002


The US is willing to open negotiations with North Korea if the north pulls some of its forces back from the border (where most of its million man armed forces are stationed) and cut back on its arms exports (especially ballistic missiles and related technology.) The northerners are upset that US president Bush described North Korea as part of a terrorism axis.
