 North Korea's admission that it has nuclear weapons has angered all of its neighbors. Russia and China, which subsidized North Korea throughout the Cold War (and a little bit since that ended in 1991) feel betrayed. China is finally leaning on the north, threatening to cut off economic aid if the northerners don't halt their nuclear weapons program. Japan is again considering building nuclear weapons.
