Japan is hitting North Korea where it hurts, by cracking down on illegal transfers of cash and goods. There are thousands of Koreans living in Japan who support North Korea and send millions of dollars a year to North Korea, as well as assisting the north in obtaining and importing illegal goods (like equipment for making missiles or nuclear weapons.)
