: For the past month, North Korea has been testing its first web portal (at www.kcckp.net/). The North Korean servers are based in Germany. North Korea has an internal Internet, but access to the world wide web is severely restricted. The government fears that most North Koreans would be harmed, politically and psychologically, by free access to the web.
