Nepali government forces conducted a large-scale operation overnight 125 kilometers miles north-west of the capital. The army claimed to have killed about 50 Maoist rebels, at the cost of five wounded soldiers. Ground units attacked rebel camps supported by helicopters, forcing the rebels to retreat from the area. An informant apparently indicated the whereabouts of the rebels' hideouts. The rebels were apparently some of those who took part in the November 15th battle. - Adam Geibel
