Tribal and religious fighting in central and northwestern Nigeria has sent nearly 60,000 people fleeing their homes and left over thirty dead. The battles in central Nigeria are between Christian and Animist farmers against Moslem herders. They are fighting over land use, a battle that has been going on for centuries.
