Peace talks have not worked, yet. The feuding clans continue to protect their turf, and battle other clans and freelancers for land and loot. The crime rate grows because of the lack of economic growth. Al Qaeda and commandos hunting them are supposed to be in Somalia, but little news of this has come out of the country.
