The new government has still not returned to Somalia. The government-in-exile is trying to get the UN involved, especially in the matter of the illegal radioactive wastes that have turned up. There are also efforts to get the African Union to supply a peacekeeping force. So far, no one is rushing to supply peacekeepers for service in Somalia. Many groups in Somalia have openly protested any use of foreign peacekeepers.
