The 772nd Military Police Company of the Massachusetts National Guard has been called to active duty for the War on Terror. After training at Fort Drum, it will be sent overseas for a one-year tour. The unit was formed in 1638 to protect Taunton, Mass, from Indian attacks and has served in the Revolution, Civil War, WWI, WWII, and Vietnam.--Stephen V Cole
