Britain has bought 44 Hawk 128 trainers, for $29 million each. The Hawk trainer aircraft are one of the more popular in the world, with 800 of them serving in 17 air forces. The nine ton aircraft are used to train pilots who will eventually fly jet fighters. The British will receive their first Hawk 128 in 2008.
