Denmark has selected Odense Steel Shipyard to produce the first two Large Standard Ships. These are modular naval units which could be configured to function in a support or combat role. These are the first ships ordered by Denmark with a designed role of "out of area deployments". Denmark expects to build at least four of these units, and possibly six.--Stephen V Cole
