Submarines: March 14, 2003

The Russian nuclear submarine Pskov was damaged by a fire while it was undergoing repairs at a facility near Murmansk. The fire was outside the sub, and ignited some wooden scaffolding erected on part of the sub. This caught fire and damaged some of the sound dampening acoustic tiles on the subs hull. The damage appears to be minor.
