: The Turkish military has drafted a new threat analysis document to replace the 1997 one, but the new one repeats most of the same concerns: Islamic fundamentalism and separatist movements are the biggest threat; relations with Iran, Syria, Greece, and Iraq should be improved but not at the expense of Turkish security, and close military relations with Israel should continue. --Stephen V Cole
