 Pakistani police arrested a Taliban leader, Syed Mohammad Akbar Agha, in Karachi. Agha had founded a Taliban faction,  Jaishul Muslimeen, which recently kidnapped, and later released, three foreigners in Afghanistan. Agha fled after that and was betrayed by an associate because of the reward offered for Aghas capture.
