In Pakistan, the army is making more raids on shops and homes, to seize illegal weapons (machine-guns, mortars, RPGs and rockets). Dozens of helicopters recently received from the United States has made the Pakistani troops much more mobile, and effective against tribesmen in pickup trucks.
