The government reported that ethnic, religious and political violence in the past two years has left 57,088 buildings destroyed. Most were homes, but the total included 241 schools, 448 churches and mosques and 260 offices.  Aceh saw the greatest concentration of destruction, accounting for 22 percent of the damage.
