The Russian defense minister, visiting to sell weapons, was told that Iran was interested in modern anti-aircraft weapons (S-300), transport helicopters (Mi-17) and ground attack aircraft (Su-25). The US strongly opposes such sales. Russia wants to make military deals with Iran in order to improve it's standing in the Moslem world. At the moment, the Chechen war is making Russia the target of Moslem terrorists.
