Russia is in final negotiations to sell S-300 anti-aircraft missiles to Iran. This has raised alarm bells, since Iran is trying to obtain any kind of missile technology any way it can. At least some elements of the system have already been airlifted to Tehran. The $250 million deal was for the same S-300 PMU-01 version of the system that was purchased by Cyprus. Iran is sending 100 officers and technicians to Russia for six months of training.--Stephen V Cole
