Violence continued on the Afghan border, with two smugglers killed and another wounded. Another 46 drug gang members were arrested. The government says at least a thousand tons of drugs is crossing the border from Afghanistan each year. Only about 20 percent of it is captured. The rest goes to addicts in Iran, the Persian Gulf states, Asia and Europe.
