An overcrowded soccer stadium suffered partial collapse. A few people were killed, but many were injured. However, when thousands of survivors fled the stadium, police fired on the crowd, killing and injuring more. Additional demonstrations came in response to the police violence. Meanwhile, violence continued on the Afghan border as drug smugglers
