Kurdish rebels attacked a police patrol and wounded four policemen near the Iraq border. Iran has been reported to have recently shipped hundreds of tons of weapons and ammunition to Hizbollah forces in Lebanon. This included 8,000 long range weapons. This build up is thought to be for an effort to smuggle weapons to Palestinians in Israel. Most of these smuggling attempts have been intercepted by the Israelis.
