Iran insists it is not supporting the Kurdish Islamic radical groups, Ansar al Islam, which controls several villages in northern Iraq, on the Iranian border. The Kurds insist that Ansar must have Iranian support, otherwise where would they get the 200 mortar shells they often fire on Kurdish positions in a single day.
