Reformers complain that there was a lot of cheating in the presidential election. But the Islamic conservatives have shut down all of the reformist media, and refuses to investigate any cheating charges. The interior ministry admitted that there were 104 cases of electoral violations during  the first round of elections. These complaints led to  26 arrests, but it is doubtful that any convictions will result.
