The national teacher's union protested that the rebels have killed nine teachers since the ceasefire and wounded another 13. The rebels attack teachers they believe are acting as informants for the government. Teachers are government employees, and have an education, which makes them suspicious in the eyes of the rebels, unless the teacher is a member of the rebel movement (which some are.)
