A Russian troops convoy was ambushed in the southeastern part of Chechnya, leaving ten or more Russians dead and dozens wounded. Several dozen are missing. A relief convoy was also ambushed. Ambush is a constant threat in the province as hundreds of well armed rebels are still at large.  In Moscow, a crude time bomb was found and defused in the main domestic flights airport.
