The Russians estimate that there are about 1,000 rebel fighters, including 250 "foreign mercenaries", still active inside of Chechnya. These rebels have blasted 14 automobiles and armored vehicles in Chechnya during the last seven days, although they lost 11 fighters to Russian forces in the same time period. - Adam Geibel
