Turkey has ordered another 551 Armored Combat Vehicles. These will all be the armored personnel carrier variant, but will have extra armor and will have periscopes to facilitate viewing the battlefield while under armor. Turkey has previously ordered 1,698 of these vehicles, including 830 armored personnel carriers, 650 armored fighting vehicles with a 25mm cannon, 170 with mortars and 48 with TOW missiles. The Turkish Army had wanted 665 more vehicles and hopes that the "missing" 114 vehicles can be ordered later. --Stephen V Cole
