: The latest version of the Army's new Interim Medium Brigade is as follows: 

1 Headquarters Company (including a small unit of unmanned aerial vehicles) 

2. Medium Infantry Battalion

3. Medium Infantry Battalion

4. Medium Infantry Battalion

5. Medium Cavalry Battalion (three troops, each 14 LAVs with 25mm guns and two LAVs with 120mm mortars; plus a support troop)

6. Anti-Tank Company (three platoons, with wire-guided missiles on LAV chassis)

7. Towed 155mm Artillery Battalion.

8. Rocket Artillery Battery (HIMARS trucks each with one MLRS rocket pod)

9. Engineer Company (14 LAVs to carry the engineers, plus assorted construction vehicles)

10. Signal Company

11. Military Intelligence Company

12. Support Battalion.

The Medium Infantry Battalion will consist of:

1. Headquarters company, including scout platoon and mortar platoon (four 120mm mortars on LAVs)

2. Rifle company: 14 LAVs carrying troops, 4 LAVs with 105mm guns, 2 LAVs with 120mm mortars)

3. Rifle company: (Same)

4. Rifle Company: (Same)

Every rifle platoon and scout platoon will include counter-intelligence specialists who will be used to ask local civilians for information.--Stephen V Cole
