Six Japanese companies will take part in the US Navy Theater Wide Upper Tier Block 2 missile defense system. The Japanese (who have four aegis destroyers and are buying two more) want to use them to provide missile defense for the home islands by firing US Navy Theater Wide missiles. --Stephen V Cole
