Supporters of President Vojislav Kostunica succeeded in creating a "power sharing" government in Yugoslavia. The Yugoslav parliament, now controlled by the Democratic Opposition of Serbia and its allies, passed a resolution stipulating new legislative elections and scheduled them for December 23, 2000.
