Turkish sources reported that a Turkish Islamist group may have planned an attack on the grave (mausoleum, actually) of Kemal Ataturk. The report suggested that the Islamists decided to attack Ataturk's grave after the terrorist attacks in the US. Attacking Ataturk's mausoleum would fit in with the terrorist concept of attacking "symbolic centers of power." Ataturk is despised by the Islmaists because of his secularization of Turkey.
