The government refused to back the claims of one of their officials that Iran would block the entrance to the Persian Gulf if Europe did not back off on their anti-nuclear crusade, and establish economic relations with Iran. However, the point was made. Iran also says it will not build nuclear weapons, but insists on building nuclear power plants, and developing the technology for building nukes.
