Warplanes: Polish F-16 Pilots to Train in Israel

April 2, 2007: Poland has received the first of 48 F-16 fighters. Poland is seeking to have it pilots receive advanced fighter training from Israel, which is the largest user of F-16s outside the United States, and the only non-U.S. F-16 user with combat experience. Israel is also selling Poland spare parts for its F-16s, as well as additional electronic systems. Israel also provides many components for construction (in the United States) of Poland's F-16s. Poland is negotiating a number of military training deals with Israel, and purchased many high tech military items from them. .
