Russia's S-37 Berkut (Golden Eagle) forward-swept-wing prototype has conducted more than 60 test flights totaling about 50 hours. The first supersonic flight will come sometime within the next few weeks. The Russians have said that the S-37 will be treated as a technology demonstrator and will not go into regular production. --Stephen V Cole
