A new study has shown that the Navy's C-2 Greyhound Carrier On-board Delivery aircraft could be given minor structural enhancements that would extend their service lives from 10,000 flying hours to 15,000. Most of them are well into their expected lifetimes, with no replacements in clear view. COD aircraft are used to carry high priority items to aircraft carriers. --Stephen V Cole
