Spain has hired CASA (the Spanish aircraft company which is now a part of the EADS European consortium) to rebuild its five P-3B Orion maritime patrol planes with the Fully Integrated Tactical System under a $102 million contract. The first refitted aircraft will be operational by Sept 2003.--Stephen V Cole
