: Canada has begun a $558 million program ($872 million in Canadian dollars) to upgrade its CF-18 fighters. The upgrade includes: 

@ the new APG73 radar for air-to-air combat

@ two new radios (TR1556 Have Quick and TR1824 digital)

@ the APX111 combined interrogator and transponder for identification friend-or-foe

@ the XN8 mission computer, along with other advanced equipment.Stephen
