Sukhoi has won the competition to design Russia's new fifth-generation jet fighter, leaving the MiG bureau without a new fighter project for the first time in its history. The Sukhoi design borrows much from the S-32 and S-37 forward-swept wing technology demonstrator. That design was stealthy, and had six internal weapons bays, two behind the nosewheel and the other four in the main part of the fuselage.--Stephen V Cole
