Raytheon is flight-testing a T-6A Texan-II trainer with dummy weapons (bombs, rockets, etc.). The point is to use the turbo-prop trainer (bought by the Air Force and Navy under the JPATS program of a decade ago) to move beyond simple flight training for jet pilots but into weapons-delivery training as well. This should make the Texan-II more marketable overseas.--Stephen V Cole
